This program features the Mikan Trio, a chamber ensemble, performing Israeli songs without words, in new, sensitive interpretations that please the ear and touch the heart.
The program takes you through a well-loved repertoire, and combines a high standard of artistic integrity with lightness and originality of improvisation.
Included are works by Yehudit Ravitz, Yoni Rechter, Shlomo Ydov, Sasha Argov, Shalom Chanoch, Shmulik Kraus, Mati Caspi, and others.
Each of the trio members was classically trained, but went on to explore the musical worlds of jazz, rock, ethnic and pop. Each artist brings to the stage a personal musical journey that contributes to this refreshing and original interchange.
